Request an appointment and our intake coordinator will reach out to you.
We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield; please call in to inquire.
Once you have requested an appointment, our intake coordinator will reach you by phone to determine if our services could be beneficial for you. Every individual seeking mental health care at the Seleni Institute goes through an intake process, during which we will discuss the current issues that prompted your call, treatment history, identification of additional life stressors, contact information, as well as fees and policies.
If we determine that therapy at the Seleni Institute is the best option for you, we will facilitate an appointment with a Seleni clinician to discuss treatment goals. The intake process can take up to three weeks; this process includes your first call with the intake coordinator up to the initial appointment with the clinician. If an outside referral better meets your needs, we will refer you to appropriate treatment options, including clinicians or programs in the community.
If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or your local emergency service.
Telephone and online HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing psychotherapy services are available in some circumstances.
Fees & Insurance
We are an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield.
For all other insurance plans, we operate as out-of-network providers. We provide our patients with detailing billing statements for the patients to submit on their own for reimbursement.
Seleni also offers Financial Assistance to those who qualify for a clinical and financial need; as well as sliding scale. We work with all of our patients to ensure that everyone who needs care is able to afford care here at Seleni.
Please contact us if you have any questions; otherwise, fees and insurance will be discussed during the intake process.
Our goal is to provide quality, individualized, consistent care in a timely manner. No-shows, late shows and cancellations inconvenience both patients and clinicians.
In order to be respectful of the needs of other patients, please be courteous and call the Seleni Institute office promptly if you are unable to show up for an appointment. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, we require that you call at least 24 hours in advance.
The Seleni Institute offers HIPAA-compliant telemedicine appointments at the discretion of our clinicians. If you are interested in learning more, please discuss directly with your Seleni provider.
Late Cancellations: A cancellation is considered late when the appointment is cancelled without notice 24 hours in advance.
No Show Policy: A “no-show”, is a patient who misses an appointment without cancelling it. A failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded as a “no-show”.When a Late Cancellation or “No Show” occurs, patients will be charged a cancellation fee, up the full fee of the visit. Charges will be determined based on the patient’s insurance and payment plan.
