Nitzia Logothetis, MSc, MA, LMHC, is a licensed psychotherapist and the Founder and Clinical Director of Seleni Institute, a non-profit organization that treats, trains, supports, and advocates to improve the emotional health of individuals and their families during the family-building years.

Mrs. Logothetis is driven by a fundamental belief that mental health is as valuable as physical health, and that every person has the potential to succeed when supported. She has advocated for the mental health of women and families around the world, including keynote speaking engagements at the White House Council on Women and Girls, the US Capitol, and numerous international universities, medical institutions, and professional organizations.

Mrs. Logothetis’ beliefs are grounded in her years of experience working with individuals grappling with a wide range of issues, including life transitions, challenges related to depression and anxiety, trauma, infertility, grief and loss as well as career changes. Her treatment approach is comprehensive, multi-disciplinary and individually tailored to her patients’ needs. Mrs Logothetis’ treatments modalities include psychodynamic psychotherapy, emotionally focused therapy (EFT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), She is specialized in Maternal Mental Health and has completed advanced training from Karen Kleiman’s Post-Partum Stress Center.

After obtaining a degree in psychology from Brown University, Mrs. Logothetis earned an MSc in child development from the University of London. As an Honorary Associate Research Fellow at The Institute of Psychiatry in London, she engaged in research into neurological changes associated with autism and was a coauthor of several papers on the subject. She later earned an MA in counseling for mental health and wellness from NYU's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.
