Introducing Seleni’s New Fertility Coursework for Mental Health Professionals

Fertility treatment is one of the most challenging journeys individuals and couples can face. Alongside complex medical decisions come profound emotional highs and lows, feelings of grief and loss, and deeply personal choices about family building. Yet too often, patients navigate this path without the mental health support they deserve.

At Seleni, we believe mental health care should be an integral part of fertility care. That’s why we are thrilled to announce the launch of our Fertility Coursework, a brand-new, evidence-based training series designed to equip mental health professionals with the skills and confidence to support patients through the fertility journey.

Why This Coursework Matters

Mental health professionals are uniquely positioned to make a meaningful impact for patients experiencing infertility. With specialized training, clinicians can:

  • Understand the psychological implications of infertility, pregnancy loss, and assisted reproductive technologies.

  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based interventions tailored to the fertility journey.

  • Collaborate effectively with medical providers to ensure patients receive holistic, integrated care.

  • Expand their expertise and position themselves as trusted referral partners in a rapidly growing field.

What to Expect

The coursework will launch with four modules, premiering between September and November 2025:

  1. Foundations of Practice in Reproductive Mental Health (1 CE) – Learn the history, scope, and evolving role of reproductive mental health, offering essential context for supporting patients through fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, and the broader reproductive journey.

  2. The Role of the Reproductive Mental Health Professional in Third-Party Reproduction (1 CE) – Going live on October 15, 2025

  3. Module 3 – Going live November 2025

  4. Module 4 – Going live December 2025

Students who complete all course requirements will receive a certificate of completion and CE credits, further validating their expertise in this important area of practice.

Together, we can ensure that every fertility journey includes the mental health care it deserves.
