Virtual Expectant Moms Group
Expecting a baby can be an incredibly exciting, but also overwhelming experience, particularly in uncertain times like these.
This support group for Expectant Moms takes place on Fridays and is led by Dr. Ingrid Nkongho, a highly experienced clinician who assists patients with a variety of mental health challenges, including PMADS, life transitions, mood disorders, and complex traumas. Dr. Nkongho leverages a combination of psychodynamic, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapies to assist her patients and to meet them where they are in their therapy process.
Join to receive guidance, share experiences, and connect with other expectant moms.
“Having the opportunity to connect with other women going through the experience of expecting can be extremely validating, and offer a significant source of support in one’s pregnancy journey,” says Dr. Nkongho.
In our sessions, participants will be able to talk freely in a confidential, non-judgmental environment about topics such as the emotional experience during pregnancy, expecting a baby during the pandemic, concerns about how life and relationships may shift after having a baby, body and identity changes, perinatal depression, anxiety and more.
The group will only run if a minimum number of participants are signed up. We will notify attendees on the Thursday prior to each session to reschedule or reimburse.
*Please note: Due to COVID-19 safety concerns, the Expectant Moms Group will be virtual.
