Nitzia Logothetis, MSc, MA, MHC-LP, is a trained psychotherapist and the Founding Chairwoman and Executive Director of Seleni Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing care, research, professional training, and information central to maternal and reproductive mental health. Mrs. Logothetis is driven by a fundamental belief that mental health is as valuable physical health, and that every person has the potential to succeed when supported.
Kate Lynch Bieger, PhD
Hara Ntalla is a graduate of the adult psychoanalysis LP Program and also an advanced candidate at the Training Institute of the Contemporary Freudian Society of New York. As a psychoanalyst, she brings an expertise in infant-family mental health and development—as well as depression, anxiety, loss and grief—to her role as clinical director of Seleni. Prior to her current role, Ms. Ntalla conducted supervision with Seleni's clinical staff since 2015.
Dr. Bieger integrates psychodynamic therapy with cognitive behavioral techniques to treat trauma and bereavement after pregnancy loss, perinatal anxiety and mood disorders, and insomnia. She specializes in helping women navigate the struggles of making the transition to motherhood, especially challenges of parenting and relationships. She helps women build the support they need to take better care of themselves and their families.
Dana Rosenbloom, MS Ed
Susan Nason has facilitated parenting workshops for more than 30 years. She leads Faber/Mazlish "How to Talk So Kids Will Listen, How to Listen So Kids Will Talk" and "Siblings Without Rivalry" workshops and has a thriving spiritual counseling practice, which features therapeutic and practical approaches to the challenges of raising children. Ms. Nason views parenting as a spiritual practice of compassion, gratitude, self-reflection, and connection. She also conducts teacher trainings in the New York tri-state area, is a frequent speaker at the Parents League and other organizations, and most importantly is a proud mother and ecstatic grandmother.
Jodi Rubin, ACSW, LCSW, CEDS
Dana Rosenbloom is dedicated to providing families with practical information and effective techniques that come from years of interacting with parents and their children. Ms. Rosenbloom offers parent education, play and behavior therapy, special education services, parent workshops and support groups, and professional development coaching.
Rebecca Benghiat, JD
Jodi Rubin is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist who works with individuals, families, and groups in her private therapy practice in Manhattan. She created Destructively Fit™, a training program for fitness professionals that addresses eating disorders within the fitness industry. She is a former director of Day Treatment at The Renfrew Center for Eating Disorders, and creator of a curriculum on eating disorders for the Graduate School of Social Work at New York University.
Shara Marrero Brofman, PsyD
Rebecca Benghiat brings over 20 years of executive administrative experience to Seleni, with deep expertise on the intersection of health policy, regulatory law, women’s issues, and mental health on both a community and national level.
Deena Blanchard, MD, MPH
Dr. Brofman specializes in reproductive and perinatal mental health. She supports people before, during, and after pregnancy, pregnancy loss, and pregnancy termination. Dr. Brofman assists people navigating infertility, assisted reproductive technology, and third-party reproduction, as well as those pursuing or considering medical or elective fertility preservation.
Patricia Harteneck, PhD, MBA
Deena Blanchard MD, MPH, is a board certified pediatrician working at Premier Pediatrics. Dr. Deena has provided health/parenting tips for outlets such as AOL, Buzzfeed, The Huffington Post, The Bump, The Daily News, and appeared on CBS and CUNY-TV. She is also a regular contributor for Big City Moms, Well Rounded NY, The Stir by Cafemom, and Momtastic.
Dr. Harteneck has more than 18 years of experience treating patients with mood and anxiety disorders. She specializes in depression and anxiety, adjustment disorders, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, life and career transitions, infertility, and relationship issues with partners, family, and friends. She uses an integrative approach to therapy, combining psychodynamic insight with cognitive behavioral techniques.

Dr. Chrousos is Professor and Chairman of the First Department of Pediatrics at the University of Athens School of Medicine, Athens, Greece, and former Chief of the Pediatric and Reproductive Endocrinology Branch of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Chrousos holds the UNESCO Chair on Adolescent Health Care and held the 2011 Distinguished John Kluge Chair on Society and Technology of the US Library of Congress.
David Hein, LMSW
Sara Laufer is a licensed CPA with extensive experience in both public and private accounting. She has been part of Seleni since we opened our doors in 2013 and works closely within the organization to maintain accurate financials, manage budgets and fiscal goals, and oversee the operations of our organization. Prior to joining Seleni, she spent nine years working for a large broadcasting company managing the budgeting and forecasting as well as economic strategy.
David brings an analytically informed approach to his work with individuals and couples navigating such life transitions as pregnancy and parenthood.
George Fisher, MD
Phaedra Chrousos is the Chief Innovation Officer of Libra Group and joined in 2016. As CIO, Phaedra’s role is to identify, pilot and help Libra Group subsidiaries adopt disruptive technology solutions. Prior to joining Libra, Phaedra served as a political appointee for the Obama Administration.

Dr. Lee Cohen is director of the Center for Women's Mental Health at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and the first incumbent of the Edmund and Carroll Carpenter Chair in Psychiatry in Women's Mental Health at Harvard Medical School.
Venus Mahmoodi, PhD
Maja brings a background of both mental health administrative and program management experience. She became passionate about mental health while working as a Mental Health Clinical Coordinator in Northwestern Ontario, Canada, and later as a Continuing Medical Education Program Administrator and Project Manager.
Venus Mahmoodi, PhD, specializes in reproductive mental health, which includes mental health challenges during pregnancy and pregnancy planning, postpartum, fertility struggles, and perinatal loss. She works with individuals and couples to alleviate distress related to grief and loss as well as a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and emotional dysregulation.
Nicholas Logothetis is cofounder and chairman of Concordia, a nonprofit organization that develops and promotes public-private partnerships around pressing global issues. Mr. Logothetis is an entrepreneur with a lifelong interest in politics and international affairs.
