Virtual New Moms Group

New motherhood can be incredibly rewarding, but also overwhelming. Seleni hosts a supportive group of new moms guided by one of our clinicians.

This support group for new mothers will run on Fridays, with a flexible program of weekly themes based on the needs of the group. Participants receive guidance from an experienced psychologist on reducing stress, learn techniques to enhance the skills needed to cope with the daily challenges of new motherhood, share experiences, and most importantly, support one another.

In our sessions, participants will be able to talk freely in a confidential, non-judgmental environment. Suggested weekly topics include body changes and image, mindful parenting, your relationship to your partner, sleep, diet, feeding, sexuality, and emotional distress. Babies welcome!

The group will only run if at least 4 participants are signed up. We will notify attendees on Thursday to reschedule or reimburse. Please sign up at least 48hrs before the session.

Single sessions are currently 30% off and if you buy 4-sessions you get and additional 5% off.

Clinicians interested in referring clients can contact [email protected] to learn more about how Seleni’s support groups can be a resource to you and your practice.

The space is cozy and the psychologist in the group was helpful in leading the conversation. I really enjoyed the opportunity to participate in the support group.

This is a wonderful place to obtain kind and rational support! I think it would have been incredibly helpful to attend this group within the first two months of my daughter's birth when I felt overwhelmed with the responsibility and sincerely frustrated with the loved ones I typically turn to for support. At this point in the process of becoming a mom, I have been able to dig deep and figure things out for myself and my family, so I don't plan on attending regularly. However, it's incredibly reassuring to know that this amazing resource exists if I should lose my focus or feel less confident in the future.
