Seleni Institute Scholarship

The Seleni Institute provides Maternal Mental Health Intensive (MMHI) Clinical Training scholarships to mental health professionals and students serving underserved populations. 

Recognizing the growing need to equip mental health professionals with the knowledge to accurately diagnose and treat the emotional challenges faced by individuals and their families during the family building years, Seleni Institute offers scholarships (full or partial) to Seleni's two-day, Maternal Mental Health Intensive clinical training.

Scholarship Eligibility (meets one of the following)  

1. Mental health professionals (psychologists, clinical social workers, mental health counselors, etc.) as well as doulas, midwives, and other health care professionals who would benefit from this training


2. Students enrolled in post-graduate, programs of study who will be pursuing careers in mental health.



1. Currently works (or if a student, plans to work) primarily with those who have low-incomes and other underserved populations.


Submission Guidelines

Award Amounts: Partial or full scholarships (including materials and meals) for our May training


Award Announcements:

Applicants will receive an e-mail approximately two (2) weeks prior to the training.


Training Dates:

May 10-11, 2019


Please note:

Course participants will be responsible for expenses related to transportation and lodging, if needed.

Awardees names, photographs, and some information from their application responses will be shared on Seleni’s social media and website.
